The birth of "Freudian Slip" started after the breakup of "Pieces" in June of 1999, when both Frank and Tim were looking for another band. Frank placed ads in the Boston Phoenix and a local music shop called "Daddy's Junky Music", in hopes of forming another band after the demise of the previous band. The name Freudian Slip derived from a friend of Tim's, when they were looking for a name for the band once the band was established. Original bassist Bob answered an ad from "Daddy's Junky Music" and joined within a week. Paul joined not to far afterwards after Frank came across Paul's ad in the Boston Phoenix. This nucleus of "Freudian Slip" stayed together for six years, whilst various fifth members came and went. Eventually however, the band split apart. Frank and Paul decided to keep the band going and brought in Paul's cousin Jay (drums) and Bruce (bass), as their former band "Jacob's Ladder" broke apart. Since this union of talent and professionalism, "Freudian Slip" has a now more tighter solid sound to their outfit, expanding their repertoire and playing to crowds from Boston to Rhode Island state. Just recently, their original "Do Without You" made it's premiere on an internet radio station.
