Welcome to the Freudian Slip bio page.

FRANK (lead vocals/rythm guitar):

Frank was born in Melrose, Ma. He moved to West Roxbury, Ma at 6 months. He became interested in music at an very early age. At age five, he began singing. While attending West Roxbury High School in 1987, Frank was taught guitar by a friend (who graduated from Berklee College of Music). He studied under his friend from 1987-1990, In 1991, Frank joined his first rock band while being a senior at West Roxbury High. From that point on, he was in a number of bands from 1992-1995 (by being in these bands, it showed Frank the ins and outs of the music business) until he moved to Walpole, Ma in 1995. In April 1996, he placed an ad at a local music shop, called "Walpole Music Center". It was there that Tim Delaney answered his ad and was auditioned a month later, where he joined on the spot. Tim stayed with Frank in "Pieces" and "Freudian Slip" until he moved out of state in 2005, but "Freudian Slip" survives with new members Jay and Bruce. Frank's influences: The Beatles (of course!), John Mellencamp, Oasis, U2, Hendrix, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Robbie Willaims, The Police/Sting, Billy Joel (to name a few). Hobbies: music, writing music, reading, drawing, landscaping, sleeping and of course...collecting rare Beatles music (I have over 400 songs at the moment).

PAUL (lead guitar/backing vocals):

Paul began playing the guitar in 1980 and soon after started taking lessons. He decided to attend the University of Lowell to study music theory and classical and jazz guitar. He received a Bachelor of Music degree in 1989. He played as a freelance guitarist, playing for various occasions as well as being in an oldies rock band. After finishing college, he also taught guitar privately as well as teaching adult evening guitar classes at a local high school in Framingham, Ma. He placed an ad in the Boston Phoenix in July of 1999, when Frank Martello came across it. Paul auditioned for him and joined on the spot. He is a great asset to "Freudian Slip", and also a professional musician who brings style to the band.
